WHY FILTER COFFEE IS A BETTER CHOICE
Drinking filter coffee is better for your heart than stove top and French press and it’s even better than no coffee at all, study says. People who drank one to four cups of filtered coffee a day even had better heart health than those who drank no coffee at all, which the researchers have again put down to the heart-boosting properties in filtered coffee.
Just sipping South-Indian filter coffee and observing the life around you, your thoughts inside, and basically everything is one of the irreplaceable joy of life.
Despite containing less caffeine, Arabica beans are often considered superior in taste. Arabica tends to have a smoother, sweeter taste, with flavour notes of chocolate and sugar. They often also have hints of fruits or berries. The Arabica doubles down on the sugar concentration and boast 60% more lipids than Robusta. This directly impacts the flavor profile once the bean is roasted, so you’ll find that boutique Indian coffee roasters like Third Wave favor Arabica-growing estates over those that produce Robusta.
Robusta, on the other hand, has a stronger, harsher and more bitter taste, with grainy or rubbery overtones. Despite its flavour being considered less refined, Robusta is widely used in espresso blends because it is known to produce a better crema (the creamy layer found on top of an espresso shot) than Arabica. It is hardier, more resistant to disease and produces better yields. It also packs more caffeine! Robusta varieties sometimes exhibit greater immunity to disease and increased production capacity in comparison to Arabica.
WHAT IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GREEN, LIGHT ROAST, MEDIUM ROAST & DARK ROAST COFFEE
One of the most frequently asked questions that we receive relates to the difference between coffee roasts. Everyone has their go-to roast level, and we are here to help you understand the differences between each of these levels. Our “roast levels” are used to describe how long and thoroughly we roast the coffee beans. The most common words to describe different levels of coffee roasting are Light, Medium, and Dark.
We continually refine and improve our roasting process to guarantee perfect beans in every bag. We also actively manage our inventory to ensure that we deliver the freshest coffee possible. Consider this Copper Moon Coffee’s version of “Ground Control.”
